Do we have to wait another 8 years for another great reunion like he had in 2006??? Well our "50 year old Birthday Party" this June will suffise until then. Did I just say 50??? Well, at least we are in the same boat, give or take a few months!

Just talked to Randy Quebedeaux the other day (we talk a few times a month) and he had a tumor on his kidney, about the size of a softball. He just had operation to have the kidney removed. He is doing fine and will be out of work for about 6 weeks. So Randy and I have that in common, only one kidney, since I donated one to my mother back in July, 1995. Anyone else in the "One kidney Club from '76"???

It's gonna be a TOGA party...He has lots of pictures to share with us from his trip to Greece..so grab a sheet..and roll yourself up like a Greek god or goddess...PARTY ON!...stay tuned!

Hey Bill So glad to hear things went so well with the surgery...and we were REALLY happy that you decided to join us at the reunion at the last minute..it was great to see you, too! I have to tell you....it was raining the night that Bob and I went to see you ...I mean...REALLY raining hard...you are very lucky...if it had not been raining so hard, you would have had a Suburban full of decorations in your hospital room...the Doctor would have had a hard time finding you under all the palm trees, shells and beach sand!Keep in touch..Kerry

My surgery went well (neck surgery) Can you imagine a better gift then to wake up after a 3 hour surgery and have Kerry Hanrahan and Bob Thomas sitting in your hospital room. Thanks guys, your the best!!! My neurosurgeon loved the way you decorated my room!! Very tropical. Thanks again...Bill

Hmmmmmm....Bill and Bob in charge of the Senior Cruise??.....sounds fishy to me!! I volunteer to help with the reservations to make sure some of the guys actually make it on the trip...With just Bill and Bob in charge, the cruise would definately be "Girls Only"...except of course for Captains Billy and Bob....We could probably get a good deal on that cruise ship that tipped last week... "Billy Bob's Cruise Line" ...Come Party on our Beer Barge and leave the tipping to us!! The Love Boat sails again!! Party On.

What a Great time my wife and I had! Since I missed the 20 year, I didn't know what to expect. The decorations were great, the hotel, as always, was great, but best of all, it was US. The reunion committee did a great job on the decorations, the food selection, and the contacting of all of us Scorps spread from Puerto Rico to Washington State. It was great getting together with you all again, and if you're ever in Augusta, Georgia, let me know. Sorry all you golfers, but you have a better chance at getting those elusive Master's Tournament tickets than I do.

As I drove home today, I was thinking about what a gift it was to see our old friends together in one place. I kept catching myself smiling -remembering the fun, and getting misty - remembering the touching moments. Our reunion came together in our own perfectly imperfect way. We sure are lucky to be a part of such a close class. I bet the cockles of our hearts will be warmed for a good time to come.

Hey all you surfers....Young and Old....Our Memorial Service on Sunday will include a "Paddle-Out" to honor our classmates who have passed away...so tell your friends and grab your board... Everyone is welcome to participate...so please pass the word...we would love to have a great turn-out for this....As the memorial begins, the surfers will paddle out together while the names of our loved ones are read aloud. So those of you who are interested but have not surfed in awhile...no worries....you don't even have to ride the waves...We have extra boards for you out-of-towners so please let me know if I need to set one aside for you!! The Memorial Service is on Sunday, July 9th at Paradise Beach Park and begins at 11:00 am. Surfers should be on the beach between 10:30 and 11:00. Hope to see you there!

I am really looking forward to this event. Randy and I went to his 30 year reunion (SHS '74). and had a good time, but by the looks of how many people plan to come to our reunion we may just put the Class of '74 to shame. Kudos to the reunion committee!!

It really warms my heart to see the names I remember from so long ago. As I've said before, I'm so sorry I can't attend this event. I'm in the middle of my trip to Asia and am now sitting in a coffee shop in Hong Kong. I hope that at the 40th we could have a way for people to drop in via webcam. Hey Michael....Just wanted to let you know that we (the reunion committee) thought it would be lots more fun if we did NOT even have name tags....HA!...so you better get out your yearbook and start studying cuz this is gonna be a test! I went to the reunion last year for the Class of 75 and the font on the name tags was so small that we couldn't even see the names.. of course we could have seen those small letters IF we only took out our reading glasses but no one dared to do that...too funny!

Just a brief bit of background about myself: I've lived in the Washington, D.C. area for the past 22 years, after graduating from law school at UF. I'm now general counsel for a trade association that represents the tire industry. I'm also an avid golfer - sorry I'll miss the golf tournament!

Keeping the "other half happy & occupied" may add an element of positive anticipation for the tag alongs. We need to have something other than "you gatta meet this person, they were soo crazy". Hey ! This is going to be so Great ! Can't wait to see you all. I think we are down to the wire on finding the last 76 stragglers. Got to tell you that I have some great Photo’s of a lot of different people and I will put on a little show with the help of Bob Thomas who is providing the music of 1973 to 76. I know almost everyone has seen the yearbook, but I have photos that no one has seen. Some were bloopers of some shots I took and they just didn’t make the yearbook. Also if you have any photos you want to put in this slide show. Please get in touch with me and I will put them in, also does any one have information on Mark E Smith?? Just hoping we can get in touch with him. Also one more thing, I talked to someone this weekend who said she wasn’t going to the reunion because she said she really didn’t know anyone….Well the more we talked the more people she remembered and now she is going. I can say that this team has put in a lot of effort in finding and organizing a great event. I know everyone will be very impressed with the occasion. See you soon! Bill

Hi, I love seeing the names, some I remember back to the fourth grade at Surfside (Mrs. Wutrichs class), who's husband of course taught band at DeLaura. I remember Ms. Davis in 6th grade, I was in love with her 'Mod' glasses and turtle neck. Delaura Mrs. Appletree, Mr. Thompson (swish) have any of you got any school albums from those years? I remember racing slot cars at a place on S. Patrick, the tracks were called 'Daytona', 'Sebring', and 'Continental'. Also the beaches Lums, Mark Realty, Atlantic Plaza, O-club, and oh yeah,.. Peg-Legs. Mr. Patrizi, (Breed-troo-da-troat) I took private trumpet lessons with him as well. I got my GED in Oct '75 and joined the Army, I sometime regret not finishing with you guys, and that is why I have mixed feelings about attending. I wouldn't like to feel that I was intruding, but would love to see and be seen (how I long to be in that number, when the Scorps come marching in!) I believe I can make it all the way from the high-desert in Benson, Az. and have reserved a room at the 'Crown'. I was in electronics/education and training untill '90, trucking untill '04, and now a chemical plant operator, explosives. I'm divorced 10 yrs now, no kids, full head of red hair, and healthy. God bless and keep you Oren

Oren: I agree with Terry. You should also fill out a profile on the Classmates page (although you seem to have provided most of your bio here). Some folks might not look at the Guest Book. Include a Now picture for us there. When I was back home in March, I found some pictures of our 6th grade Surfside experience. Some band pics and a few from Mrs. Davis' class (yes, I was in her class as well). Will have to post them in the Photo Albums section. If anyone else has elementary or Jr. High School pics, send them to me, and I'll set up a Photo Album for them.

Hey! Steve Tisdale. You wrote,"First, Mrs. Brewer and now this chick." You go on to say, "Really!! We'll find a nice quiet place and you can do your magic." If this is the line you used with girls from the Classof '75, I can see why you want(need) to come to our reunion. I don't think it will work on the Class of '76 either, but good luck. See you there.

That would be cool, driving a Harley from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Satellite Beach for the reunion. How many days left to the reunion? Maybe I still have time to sell the camper and get the Harley. Thank goodness for technology; after I catch up on my Botox treatments, "safe" tanning, and hair coloring/weaving, I will make the trek from Tallahassee to the East Condo Coast. Even I won't recognize me!

Hey, guys! We're thinking about trying out myevent.com for our reunion site. I retired from the Air Force in 2000. I am now a professor at Western Carolina University. I am married and have a daughter.
